Dave has twenty years of experience as a mortgage executive and business leader, and he is passionate about leveraging technology to increase the success of mortgage professionals. Under his direction over the past nine years, 22,000 loan officers have used The Mortgage Coach's flagship software to increase their success and help homeowners make more informed decisions.
Dave is a recognized pioneer and leader in the mortgage industry. He is known especially for his contributions toward the growth of professionalism in the lending industry and the improvement in the quality of advice that originators provide homeowners. Dave consults and speaks to thousands of mortgage professionals each year on topics relating to sales, marketing, and leadership.
Before and during the creation of The Mortgage Coach, Dave was one of the nation's top loan officers and was the president of a national mortgage company. At the peak of his origination career, he was one of the nation's top 100 loan officers, and he worked exclusively with hundreds of CPAs and financial planners.

JESS M. HARTMANN, PRESIDENT
Jess Hartmann joined the Mortgage Coach in June of 2007 as President. Focused on bringing his leadership, significant organizational and technology experience to this fast growing organization, Mr. Hartmann continues to lead our company with a passionate vision and a strong emphasis on tactical execution.
With over 26 years of experience in providing cost-effective technology to a broad base of industries, Hartmann has held positions from CEO, Vice President of Marketing to CIO and CFO in Fortune 500 public companies and entrepreneurial startups, including New Horizons Computer Learn Centers, ThermoLase Corporation, Division of Thermo Electron; Jenny Craig International; ISD Corporation; and Prime Computer.
PHILIP MEYER, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Philip Meyer joined The Mortgage Coach team in 2000. With 10 years of experience in originating residential loans, Philip brings to the company experience and insight from the user's perspective. Before joining The Mortgage Coach, Philip averaged $46,000,000 a year in personal production with much of his business coming from a referral mix of CPAs, financial planners, real estate brokers, and past clients.
As part of the original development team, Philip has had the opportunity to build relationships with many of the top-producing loan officers in the country. These relationships ensure that The Mortgage Coach enjoys feedback from the best of the best as it continues to grow and solidify its position as the leader in mortgage advisory software.
MATTHEW J. BOWE, VP PRODUCT MARKETING
Matthew Bowe joined the Mortgage Coach in October of 2006 after spending 5 years as a Mortgage Originator and 12 years in various Software Technology roles. During the first year with the company Mr. Bowe helped bring to Market 3 new products; The Marketing Machine, Equity Optimizer, and Action Packs. Guided by a strong drive oriented toward results focused products and training, Matthew is helping the company fine-tune its impact on helping Mortgage Professionals achieve greater sales results through an acceleration of new offerings.
The combined 17 years in, business ownership and the residential finance include Mr. Bowe having originated for GMAC Mortgage, Countrywide Home Loans, Clarion Mortgage and his own company, Total Lending solutions. His technology career culminated with a co-founding MedicalHost.com in the late 1990’s, and included prior Account Executive and Technical positions with Venetica (now owned by IBM), FileMaker Inc. and Claris Corporation, a former subsidiary of Apple Computer.
JOHN SCHAAF, CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
John Schaaf joined The Mortgage Coach team in 2007. John brings vast range of experience in IT infrastructure and product development to The Mortgage Coach organization. His core principle is to deliver technology that services customer and business needs. With this focus, John has committed himself to continuously improve and expand company products and IT solutions.
John’s IT management experience in the mortgage industry started back 20 years ago with the Mortgage Asset and Security Services division of Bank of America. John has a strong history utilizing his seasoned program and project management skills to deliver quality and timely solutions. His experience ranging from startup companies to mega-million dollar initiatives. John’s style to take highly complex information and make it easy and intuitive is completely in-line with the company’s founding values.
GREGORY WEXLER, CO-FOUNDER
Greg founded The Mortgage Coach with Dave Savage in 1997. Greg drives the technology at The Mortgage Coach and handles advanced programming for the company. Greg has committed himself to creating the mortgage industry's most intuitive and most powerful sales effectiveness solution for loan officers.
For years, Greg has been a leader in voice computer telephone technology and artificial intelligence. Before founding The Mortgage Coach, Greg graduated with a degree in computer science from The University of Southern California. He then went on to work in the field of artificial intelligence for four years with Xerox Corporation. Noticing a lack of effective technology applications in the mortgage industry, Greg sought new ways to improve the inefficient business systems that plagued the industry.
